If authors submit articles, they agree with the following copyright statements:
- Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgment of the work’s authorship and initial publication in this journal.
- Authors can enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal’s published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgment of its initial publication in this journal.
- Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) before and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of published work (See The Effect of Open Access). As soon as the paper is accepted, finally submitted and edited, the paper will appear in the “OnlineFirst” page of the journal, thus from this point, no other internet-based publication is necessary.
As a part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission’s compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines:
- the submission has not been previously published, nor is it at another journal for consideration or an explanation has been provided in the comments to the editor;
- the formatting and style areas in the sample file in MS Word format according to
- plagiarism is strictly followed and will be checked. Any paper having more than 15% plagiarism will not be accepted for publication;
- the full address for all co-authors are needed in the format: affiliation and full postal address;
- please indicate only one e-mail address for the corresponding author;
- please indicate ORCID for each co-author;
- the abstract should summarize the content (aim, scientific novelty, practical value, main results, etc.) of the paper in short terms, i. e. 150-250 words;
- keywords cannot include the words and phrases from the paper title;
- the structure of the paper should be: “1 Introduction”, “2 Literature Review”, “3 Research Methodology”, “4 Results”, “5 Conclusions”, “6 Acknowledgement” (if applicable), and “References”;
- use high-quality figures (at least 300 dpi). All the figures must be prepared as separate files (Fig. 1, Fig. 2 a, etc.) in TIFF/JPEG formats;
- the text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Authors Guidelines;
- references closely follow the recommended format;
- citations should be up-to-date and indexed by the databases Scopus and Web of Science (peer-reviewed journals with high impact factors are preferable). Self-citation must not exceed 15 % of your reference list. Where available, DOIs or URLs have been provided for the references;
- the total length of the article is recommended to be not less than 8 pages.
To ensure the privacy statement, the names and email addresses entered in the submission will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of the “Journal of Engineering Sciences” and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
After the Editorial Board will be notified of your submission, you will be emailed about confirmation by Managing Editor. Once the Editorial Board / Reviewers will be reviewed the submission, the Managing Editor will also contact you.
